In Australia two of the biggest churches in Sydney have declared the Sydney Mardi Gras to be undesirable.  They say it is an exercise in gross exhibitionism.  "In highly erotic display, it promotes a homosexual lifestyle".

on the other hand

A South African archbishop takes a stand for gay rights by saying that to discriminate against homosexuals is akin to apartheid - an evil thing.  A homosexual lifestyle is not to be desired if one has a choice, but any form of descrimination is evil.

so who's right here, I think it depends where you are standing...
